sunday in the water
« on: March 08, 2010, 11:29 »
Had a big day out in the water on sunday I'd decided to hunt till i hit gold but that was not to be  :(, the bay was as flat as a mill pond which made hunting easy & the targets came out at a regular rate  :), the highlites were a 1917 florin, a 1921 threepence, a few Penny's ranging from 1890s to the 1950s, two 925 silver rings & my first bit of found 800 silver - a saint medalion (I'm unsure which one), some interesting sea glass & a sea marble.
the coin count was good at $20 something, maybe I'll get some gold outta the sea next time out  :).

    Gday Lazy,

    A good out mate...nicely done.
You have a much higher chance of getting hurt in a road accident on the way to the beach than a shark biting you mate.
More people die each year from bee stings than shark attacks.
...and that bit of rubbish, or wisdom ( whichever you prefer) is from an old now retired spearfisherman.
    Happy detecting.
