Safari batteries

Not sure which Minelab area this post should be in but this may concern other detectors.l read about some other Safari detector operators using alkaline batteries instead of rechargables,the rechargable
battery from Minelab rates at 9.6volts and the alkaline batterys rate at 12volts and some users are finding that there machine runs smoother with alkaline,l tried it today and l have to agree,it seemed to
have less chatter and locked onto a target better,cheers Rod. :)
