« on: June 01, 2010, 23:25 »
No I didnt find this with my metal detector but Im sure it would have got the heart pumping :o My Grandmother showed me this a little while ago and she wanted to know its value, I thought that there are avid coin collectors on here that may be able to help out

Cheers Byron

I'm no expert Byron but my guess is that someone would pay $100 for it.

Given that the coins have been turned into jewellery I imagine these would have lost their 'coin value'. It is now a piece of jewellery and I could not even begin to guess how much that would fetch.

    happy days

nice peace of jewellery lxss5000 as snoopy36 said coins in broaches loose there collector value "unless they are extreamly rare coins"
i see a few of these come up on ebay value is from $30-$60 depending on the style, i think heads out coin broaches get the better prices.

I would say it's value is what someone would be willing to pay & you were willing to accept to part with it.

Very nicely put together piece!  Cheers  :)

Beautiful brooch! I bought a 1916 shilling with a silver pin soldered on the back for $5 in a charity shop a few years ago.
I reckon a collection of coin jewellery would be a real eye catcher!
