Nice gold Ray,  looks bloody cold though.

I'll be there the week leading up to the 29th of next month and maybe after for a few days (longer if I get onto anything good),  hopefully we will be able to meet up there somewhere.

    Hi all,

Rwork, that is a great photo of the old diggins............it looks very cold and frosty, we have been getting some fairly heavy frosts here just lately, I hope it warms up soon, I'm over winter.
Congratulations on your gold finds, it will be interesting to see what they weigh in at. Looks like the 4500 is doing it for you.

    Regards to all Jim

Irish,i'm on fields with club 14th aug, might be able to come back 2 weeks later around 27th.I can meet you at Dunnolly if you want to have a look. Neil dont leave it to long, the way other club members are pulling out the nuggets it will be a bit harder in 12 months. Our club went to inglewood last trip and the Sunbury club were there also and in around 3 weeks the Seekers are also visiting. WA might be the answer. Two of our club members Mark and Rhond Hyde run gold prospecting tours.I got word that one of the paying clients has just found a large nugget around 69+ Oz. I will try and contact them tonight and if i can get a picture, will post. (picture coming tomorrow) Rwork

That would be good Ray,  if you want a weather report before you come down feel free to call me,  I camp in a swag so if you can't understand me over the teeth chattering and the sound of breaking ice it will mean the same frost as your photos above :D .

Marybourough bottle show is on at the Carisbrook race track on the 28th and 29th,  I can strongly recommend going to anyone who has even a slight interest in bottles,  it is a great show.

I travelled back to the same goldfield that was under frost last visit .This time it was 39c and covered in long grass,Locusts and mozzies.I awakened early to beat the heat and to try and get on the site without my Jack Russell. Rabbits everwhere and anyone who has a JR knows when their busy they don't come back. The first two targets were .22 cases ,then a belt buckle and then a piece of gold.      ( I think it looks like a geese head) After finding it I gave up straight away ,packed the van and returned to Swan Hill. 42c predicted here new years eve so i didn't wait around.  The second photo was gold found by a mate with a 2100 around Maryborough.Biggest was around 55 Oz.My friend sold all the pieces long ago.   Rwork
