Time to try out the X-Terra 305
« on: August 11, 2010, 14:43 »
Just bought a X-Terra 305 from a private seller for $300. Any tips on the functions & use? I can't wait for it to come and give a run.

Swing it low and swing it slow  :D

Put in all metal and dig everything. That way you get to know what the TID (Target ID) numbers mean.  Test different coins under it and remember the TID for those. Someone was nice enough to post these somewhere on the forum but I believe that is for the XTerra 705 that has a wider range of TIDs...

    Here it is

Oh and watch YouTube clips - best way to learn next to actually doing it!

Hi Willy. It will be a great little machine for you. You can often pick the difference between gold coins and scew caps by listening to the audio in pinpoint. Screw caps scream harder when you have shallow targets. The 5x10 and 6in DD coils have great target seperation.
