Drink Robur tea,live long

Found at Wedderburn,is the size of a saucer.Been suggested that the tea pot may sit on it or a top of a container.

  • Oldest find: Ancient gold and 1797 cartwheel penny.

    Looks like it might be silver by the colour, I agree about it possibly being a lid, and I remember that you could buy tea in small wooden boxes too especially for folks in the country.

    When i was a kid of about 10, i used to listen on my crystal radio set of a night, instead of going to sleep, To the Robur Tea Show, that i think had Graham Kenedy in it. Your find certainly brings back memories.

    Apparently it's called a "trivet" - here's a similar one...
