Whites MXT

Looking for opinions on this machine from past/present users if possible. Very popular in the US for many years and always gets good reviews, and I'd like to try something different.

Is it good on the beach in dry/wet sand? Does it get good depth on land? How is the pinpointing? How is is the weight/ergonomics etc?

Hehehe...just curious Megs. Etrac is still the the most likely but I've always been curious about Whites.

Sorry I didn't see this post for some time,

I've used the MXT for about 2 years.  It's excellent on the beach/sand wet or dry sand made only a little difference.  It has a salt setting switch which handles it well.  The standard coil that comes with it is well balanced has great depth and pinpointing is excellent.  Depth reading was accurate about 98% of the time the only time it was wrong was when it got slight scraps of alfoil on the surface.  Sometimes it indicated it was a feint deep target.   The concentric coil with the hole in the middle eliminates the need for a pinpointer as the target when centred is always in the middle of the circle. 

The big 18 x 15 inch butterfly coil I had was way too heavy and I should have got the bungee cord for it.  The discrimination was very accurate as I dug all targets for the first 3 months to learn my machine.  It's a powerfull machine the only drawback is the USA program which predicts you have found a quarter instead of a 10cent piece and such.
