finding gold with a sovereign

just wondering if any one here has found a gold nugget or specimen, that swings a sovereign detector.

    Yes ,i have found a nugget with my Sov.It might not be mentioned in the gold section as it may not have been going then.It was 3 or 4 gr. but nearly on the surface. The machines will find an early 3d very deep but are hopeless on small gold.I did meet a bloke from Qld who found a 40 Oz. piece where i was hunting at Waanyarra,he had a large coil on and was only using it because the area over the road from the cemetery is to junky.  Rwork

    There was an article in the gem and treasure magazine a few years ago about a guy who was doing well going over the old diggings in amongst the rubbish. He was able to disc out iron items and found some good gold. Ned
