Our JR Australia wide network has some really quality people in our ranks and never once have I ever  had to talk to any detectorist about any possible form of  code breach.  All said and done it comes down to common sense, some  curtisy towards others in their time of need.

Detecting Skill catagories required to find peoples lost items Guide:

a/ Land only. (most quaility detectors  fit  this bill as most recent lost jewellery is surface stuff.)
b/ Land small earrings and chains. (Small coil machines proven Earring detection)
c/ Shallow surf/water ( water proof machines)
d/ Full underwater (Experianced Divers  with full Water proof machines and  U/water pinpointers)

To Join is simple all I need from you is:
1/  A reasonably reliable contact  phone No.  (Would be sad if I had a  job right next door to you and I couldnt phone you about it.)
2/ A list of your basic equipment and your class abilities you can currently and want  perform so I can send you out to the jobs you are setup for.

How  JR works:  Guideline
1/ I get a customer call and use my knowledge to assess the detecting task at hand. I quote customer a minimum job price and encourage  them to pay a reward if they like our service  and the item is found. Flaky(Possible non payers) asked to pay via  paypal, credit card or bank deposit up front to me directly, before search.
2/ I then call the JR guys in the customers local  with the suitable equipment and skills at the time of day they indicated they should be avaliable. I advise of payment condtions.  Some times  charity work I pay you out of my pocket.
3/ If our first or second JR  guy is busy or not avaliable I call other JR guys that live possible close by.  I will endeavour to get  first time detectorists to meet up with more experianced  guys at times. In the  event no one is avaliable the job is posted  in our forum under state.
4/IMPORTANT Every one to contact customer ASAP to confirm search time and place.
5/Our  JR guys put in a minimum two hour search but, Ideally we  search the  best if not all the area in question so we dont  come up empty handed if it  can be avoided.  Some areas might take two searches, over two days, for ledgendary finds. That  will be up to the individual searcher but I tend to  give the jobs to the guys willing to go the extra mile as  I am prepared to  do myself.(put yourself in the customers shoes.)

FOUND Get ready for those customer smiles and bear hugs, payment and bonuses possibly,
NO  Find, You gave all you had! Be Happy  you are a  winner in the customers  eyes as we  gave it our all! and  this really gives the customer  closure it was properly looked for.

6/ Customer pays on completion the agreed amount and bonus  as they value themselves and our  work.  In the  event they dont pay (extremly rare),Call me  asap and or  let them  go with their item there is no point belittling ourselves. Where possible I will chip in towards your expenses  out of my own pocket as I value your time and skills more than that customer. A customer  who cheats  over money and say a wedding ring is asking  for some serious kamra backlash at some point in time .lol Best to let them go.

(Customer pays you by cash usually or  If you dont have paypal I  can takes credit cards, bank deposit,  or Paypal.) Note try to avoid  paypal as they charge a  few percent per transaction.

Ask customer for a photo of their ring for internet( I usually get them to hold their ring near their smiling  face. )

JOB WELL DONE Love to hear your  story on Kimbucktwo.

To  Protect the very High quality of customer service and  fantastic standards of metal detecting all of you have done to date with out  exception while  being apart of Jewellery Rescue.

I have given some forward fore thought , and now every one for warning into this before it ever emerges. I developed several simple effective ways to detect the Rouge detectorists that would use the JR service to pocket customers money and slack off, sit under a tree for two hours and not provide a decent search as the customer expects.  OR the TARGETed Jewellery is pocketed by the detectorist under question or is obviously skipping over or moving target  for later pickup when the customer leaves..

One Test you might never realise is happening is if the search JOB and Jewellery is planted on a job and under possibly observation, your honesty will then be defined by your next actions.  I intend to give the detectorist under test a chance to make good their lapse ways if possibly.  If any one caught out I will ask forum their punishment.

I do this to protect the  greater honest to a fault 99.9%  of forum members that are real decent guys. Bad buggers need not apply.
