if somebody else has made a product that works better than minelabs does, then they should find out why and try and match or better that product.if they don't, then wouldn't you buy something else?

Please don't ask me to do any more tests on the coil because I am no longer using it due to fear of prosecution.
I will send an email to Minelab to see what they want me to do with it.

In that case, I'll say that the coil is awesome, and if you want one for this detector you should buy it fast because the guy from Nel said this was the first one to come to Australia for this detector, and if Minelab have anything to do with it, it might be the first and last one to come to Australia, so buy one fast! You can buy them for other detectors with no worries, they should be exactly the same as this one. They take about 3 weeks to get here. $220 US, but after Western Union fees $250 AU. I think it is worth the price.

So webhall, did you hear correct is it as good as expected.

The NEL Tornado coil could be a tad to unstable for some due to its maximised sensitivity.

NEL Tornado 12x13"DD 7.5 kHz coil is just slightly smaller than a CoilTek 15"DD All-terrain coil.

    Hi All.
Went out with penrithbottleo this afternoon to a nice park close to his place. Now he has the same detector as I do. A X-terra 705. On close to the same setting. My addvice to anyone is to go out and get one. I am extreemly happy with this coil. best this I have gone out and got. Ended up with 50% more goldies and close to double the coins. Im sure Stev(PB) with be getting one tonight. Well buying one anyway.
    Cheers.

Coiltek now make a MF (7.5khz)  DD WOT for the Xterra $217 ...Minelab must have allowed the chip technology transfer
the WOT is the same as the orange coil in the pic.

Weight comparisons would be one thing to consider
I like the fact that the Coiltek WOT is Australian and tried and true, really great waterproof coil
Any problems and the coil can be fixed in Adelaide

    Hi All.
I have now taken the X-Terra with Nel Tornado coil on three trips and am happy to say. Its a ripper. Penrithbottleo took his new E-Track out yesterday. At the end of the day we had close to the same in pre dec. But man can this coil find the goldies. I have paid the coil off in three day and about 10 hours hunting.
    Cheers.

    Hi Dirt fishmen and woman.
Well after three weeks and close to 12-15 outings the coil has crapped itself and have sent it back. Turned it on yesterday afternoon and nothing. After checking to make sure everything was ok it came up with a coil error. Put the old coil back on and everything work fine. Have emailed the guy and they will replace the unit on questions asked. All I have to do is post the thing to the other side of the world. Think I will be going out today and getting a coiltec one. The standard coil is way to small after having a larger one for that time. At least the thing paid for itself a few times over.
    Cheers.

My NEL Tornado 12x13"DD is still working like a beauty and it got a 2 year warranty card which was date forwarded 1 month to allow for freight time, I've never seen that before.
Even the packing box it came in is purpose made for just this type/size coil, another thing never seen before.

What is seen is non NEL users :( discredit a coil they do not own and haven't even tried.

Now there is NEL BIG  :P for X-Terra's :)
