I had a look to see who had found an 1841 coin  and my own name came up in the old pub site coins post.

I see i found a token on that day and as i don't have that award i will ask one of the Mods to post it please.

Deffo not 1833 Rwork as it was a QV penny.

The bad news is that an 1833 coin will be VERY difficult to come across, as NO pennies, half pennies, sixpences or shillings were minted in 1833 during King William's reign However I do believe 1833 groats exist (very rare), as well as Sovereigns and maybe farthings.

We can only hope for a foreign coin to fill the gap, such as a Quarter Anna, US Large Cent or something equally exotic.

Yep, I think the countdown will kick along nicely again once this hurdle has been passed - bit like waiting for the recent PIF entry - It'll happen one day  .
