Just a quick question about the tracking service from US Post

My last update was the 29th of May, stating it had left USA

and I have not seen any updates since.

Should I be concerned or is that normal for US Post.

I emailed Ed at Texas Premium on last Friday, everything seems to be OK

I was wondering if other Forum had problems with their tracking, or is this normal.

Thanks, fingers crossed it will be here in a couple of days.

Larry & Sandy

The parcel is not tracked while it is in Aust Customs, this could be for 2-3 days or up to a week all depends on how busy they are, I wouldnt be too worried just yet

I had a Iten held up in costoms for over a week one time and the tracking just stopped, doubt you will have any hassles coming from Texas Premium just need to give it a few days

Our AT Pro arrived today  :)

Thanks everybody, for your kind words and wisdom, it took the worry out of the waiting.

the At pro came with batteries already installed, easy to put together, I only needed to check the manual on how to take the batteries out.

came with a 10% discount voucher, thanks Rwork you was spot on with that one.

I had a quick go outside in the back yard, amongst the iron trash there was a high tone bell ring in the 80s, but I failed to find it, I now know how to pinpoint properly after reading the manual, so I will have another look this afternoon.

I did a quick air test, it struggled to pick up the 20 cent piece in Standard Coin mode
10 cents no problem, I tried it in all metal mode, picks up the 20 cent piece no problem at all.

Hopefully we will get a few digs today, were off to Melton tomorrow, so it wont give us much chance to use it until we go to Avoca with the Bendigo Prospectors Club on Sunday.

    Take Care

Thanks Smurf, we found our first coin today, a 2005 $2 coin, that was in our backyard

Earlier this afternoon went for about 20 minutes or so out in the Whipstick Forest, ran into a couple of Bendigo Members working the same spot, and I got to try out the AT Pro on some small nuggets in a small plastic bottle on the ground, the AT Pro just managed to pick it up.

Hopefully over the next few weeks we will be out there detecting, gaining some new experience getting used to the new machine

    Thanks

I think it was Ron & Lex, I'm terrible in remembering names, they are heading out for the club meeting in Avoca on the weekend.

I was surprised to see them there, I remember I used to pan for gold at the same spot
about 30 years ago with my brother.

Pity we could only stay about 20 minutes, then rush off again, we are hoping to spend a full day there on Monday.

Sorry we cannot make it to the meeting on Friday night, but its all go for Sunday in Avoca
we are hoping to get there about 9 in the morning.

If the sovereign is charged up, we might also try that out, Hearing good reports from Snoopy
that its a excellent coins and relic machine. might be good for small gold as well.

I got some good news on the Pro pointer and Coil Cover from Texas Premium, I've ordered it
Tuesday night, and Thursday afternoon it has already been cleared by customs, so it will probably be in my hands on Tuesday, would have been Monday if there was no holiday, very fast service.

Everybody have a good weekend, Catch you soon

    Larry & Sandy :)

It looks to me like all the US boys sell at the same price. Just a matter of choice I suppose, & what comes as a bonus.

    Unfortunately , freight doesn't change.

I ordered my AT Pro from Texas Premium 2 weeks ago now (08/08/2011) and looking at the tracking it doesn't even look like it has left the states yet:

Processed Through Sort Facility, August 11, 2011, 2:14 pm, ISC CHICAGO IL (USPS)
Arrived at Sort Facility, August 11, 2011, 2:14 pm, ISC CHICAGO IL (USPS)

Thats all I have in the tracking. Should I be worried?

I wouldn't worry,I have purchased 3 times from them before and had no problems I am now waiting on my ATpro to come from them, there was once when I thought my item wasn't going to come because it had been over 3 weeks but when I e-mailed Ed he said it had to do with Australian customs which can take a long time about a week later I received my item so maybe it has been help up in customs maybe give it another week or 2,and with our dollar so high I think everyone is buying from America at the moment, that could be another reason why it takes a long time in customs.

Shouldn't it say something about International Transit though?

Mine sounds like it's still being sorted in Chicago. I have this vision in my head of my metal detector going endless round and round in circles on a conveyor belt for 2 weeks

Goldfinger, I'm waiting for mine as well after 2 weeks. When I check the tracking it says-

Your item was processed through our ISC CHICAGO IL (USPS) facility on August 12, 2011 at 7:48 am. The item is currently in transit to the destination.

However when I click on details it just says- processed through sort facility.

I wouldn't worry, am sure it's just in customs here...damn difficult to be patient though isn't it!

Well 3 weeks now and I'm STILL waiting.

Is it stuck in customs? Did it get lost on the way to Australia? Is an employee at UPS hunting on the local beach with it as I speak? Is it endlessly going around and around in circles on a conveyer belt? Did it fall off the back of a truck?

Who knows... all I know is that the sweet sweet gold is sitting out there waiting for me and I can't get it till I get my machine!
