I have been watching the postings here and other places and wasn't going to make any comments , but have decided that this is the time to do so.
First of all, the wording, Quote "We are the New Australian Distributor for Australia" is not correct and misleading, but should be that they are another distributor in Australia.
Nothing more to be said about this at this time.
Now in regard to your questions with other information.
(1) We are still the original Garrett Importer/Distributor/Retail outlet that everyone knows and are still operating as normal. No, we have not been dumped and still have strong ties with Charles and Eleanor Garrett
(2) We will be giving the same reliable service to our customers that we have given for 20 years.
(3) All units sold through our distribution network in Australia will carry the same warranty as usual.
(4) All warranty repairs are carried out by me in Australia and units are not sent back to the US for repairs.
(5) I am a qualified technician wth over 40 years experience and not only on detectors, but also on specialised security equipment including Xray units and Drug Detection Equipment.
(6) We give personalised service and backup to all our customers. We are only a phone call away to help out with any problems and also available for one on one personal contact.
(7) Most problems can be sorted by telephone. We also diagnose most faults over the telephone to help reduce unnecessary returns.

We only cover warranty on units sold through our distribution network. Units purchased from overseas or through any other channels are not covered by our warranty.
(9) Gold Mining Centre is in it for the long haul and all our customers genuine warranty claims will be always be honoured.
(10) Our loyalty to the Garrett company and our customers is world recognised. Not only do we help our Australian customers but also help overseas Garrett customers when asked.
(11) We hold numerous spare parts and do most repairs on older Garrett models if parts are still available and if the repair is financially viable.
(12) Our pricing is looked at every so often and changes are adjusted at that time. As a true Australian registered business we must charge GST. Units sent directly from the U.S. and New Zealand, directly to customers do not have GST charged if under a $1,000.00 and therefore should be cheaper than sold directly from a dealer in Australia. As an Australian business, we cannot sell an item without GST due to government regulations and therefore makes it harder to match prices. US prices listed do not include there local taxes.
