Secon.

Did a little testing with a SECON  GPP V1.4.
Very pleasent depth on our currently used coinage and the adjustable sensitivity allow for some delicate detection.

    Hi Ivanll,

Looks very robust, has it got as much splay over the target as the the uniprobe or the pistol probe, and does it upset frequency wise your detectors. Have had a look at the specs and it runs on a 9v alkaline or a recharble. Like the idea of being able to use it as a torch.

    Regards Beepn.

The Secon is a rugged unit and because of the sensitivity of either the Pistol Probe, Uni Probe and Secon GPP I tend to just point the tip towards the target to narrow the search field at the start of a pinpoint.
So far I have not had any interference from the Uni-Probe or Secon GPP while using any of my present detectors or on the later Minelab GPX range, whereas the Pistol Probe can require retuning when changing detector.

Yep,.......... High end detectors  tend to have a pricetag to match but it's nice to find them available for those who can utilize this extra power.
I find the Secon to be more of a multiuse detector and therefore to me more useful than either Goldspear or Falcon MD20, that is not to say they are of no use but they to had a price tags with ??

Alternative for water use or diving..........UWM20........not as sensitive to tiny bits but greater distance to coin size items.

A Pro-Pointer can also detect small/tiny gold, when suitably tuned.
