    How do you find the LST?

    Just open the box an there it is ;D

    Seriously;
    It is a fine general purpose machine but with a bent towards gold detecting with excellent Auto ground tracking and can handle quite high levels of iron mineralisation, but not extreme. Has good sensitivity to small gold.
    The Disc mode is good but not great, the GB is fixed in this mode even though the manual says to GB in All Met before selecting Disc..
    I have used mine at the beach and in the saltwater (ankle deep) and you will have to turn the sensitivity down around 4 for salt work but the detector still seems capable of fair depth on coins in the wet sand.
    Because the Vaquero has GB in both modes I would have thought it would have a better disc mode than the LST.  Am not sure of that though.

    I did a Field Test on the LST that is in the Nov 2000 Ed  of AGG&T
    That's how long I have had mine; Won't be parting with it any time soon.
