Willo finds gold
« on: January 07, 2012, 21:22 »

Hi

I am currently holidaying in Victoria with my family. Have had two outings with the GPX, the first I drew a blank although I found a couple of nice relics including a very nice button.

However, today was a terrific day. I found my first gold nugget with my new detectior and it weighed 6 grams.  It came from a hole about 25 -0 30 cm deep. I was working the side of a gully and heard this faint sount, so i reomved the first layer of dirt and it became a little louder.  Dug won in the red earthy rocky soli and had a clod in my hand with the target, out fell this nice nugget.  I then found the other nugget about 40 minutes later.  I was absolutely elated and have the events recorded on video which I will donw load upon my return home!

Happy prosepcting evryone.

It was below the holes on the hill which were mainly shallow, no deep shafts observed.  Did give the immediate area around the nugget a thorough working out!
