It is gold in crystal form. I believe the japanese are growing gold now. Enclosed a couple of pictures in which you may be able to see some of the crystals.One of the pictures has a lot of crystals of something else in with the gold.

Thanks Rwork, I think I understand now... its not a solid nugget, but actual gold crystals? so why would it be worth more?

Worth more because its rare. A piece of gold a mate had sold for 4 times normal because it was a bit different.It was wire gold

Crystal gold comes in many shapes and forms....here is one of mine 7.7g semi crystalline
I will have a look to see what other crystal photo's I have in my collection.....maybe we should start a new thread, this one is being hi-jacked abit.
