Cave gold
« on: January 08, 2012, 17:13 »
One of our BPC (Bendigo prospecting club ) members yesterday (8th/1) was detecting and put his detector up in a cave in the side of a creek. It was already nearly dark and he got a signal but couldn't make out what it was. He felt it was heavy and by the ute headlights found he had an 18 grammer.    I know, pictures or it didn't happen but he doesn't have email . I have asked can he get a picture to me but if not i will take one at our next outing mid Feb. I put this post up to remind me. :)

Enclosed picture of the Bpc members find from last month.   6.9 Oz, found laying on top the ground in leaf litter. He got a big signal and expected it to be a tin can. When he gave the target a kick, out it came.
