Is it a round 50 cent piece

Is this a round 50 or just a 50 that has been around ? Found by Shane who dropped it into my workshop today.
I looked up the weights of the round 50 which is mainly silver (1966) and the later Cupro nickel and was supprised that the silver coin is a lighter weight. Now i have come home without writing down the correct weights but if the knocked around coin is heavier than it should be for a round 50c then it must be the later version. The date has gone.
The gold scales may read slightly different to the book weight but the nickel coin should show how much variance if any. So what do the members think, out with the reference books.

sadly not a round one.
Yopu can still see the flat edges around the 0 in 50.
Also is it smooth on the outer edge of the coin?

A hammered 50, without a doubt. A silver 50c will clean up very easily and shine in such a way the cupro version couldn't touch.
Just looking at that beaten 50 I can see almost straight away it's not a real round one.

Looks like some flat edges on it so i'd go with a 'standard' fifty cent rather than a round one but it is hard to tell.

Doesn't look good for the award Shane but nobody has supplied the weights yet.

RWork, I have 6 round 50s. They all weighed in differently. Average was 13.2 but lightest was 12.9 and heaviest 13.4 grams.
Regardless, to me it is totally the wrong colour, a much 'whiter' silver in the round ones.

thanks for the work anyhow Ray Shane.

Rwork,
according to the book the weight for the round 50c is 13.28 grams. The cupro nickel is 15.55 gms
