Garrett Sea Hunter XL500 PI back in action.
« on: February 05, 2012, 22:08 »
After replacing all the shaft seals and the housing O ring seal on my 1985 Sea Hunter XL 500 PI unit the 1400 mAh Ni-Cad  C cells last replaced in 1995 were due for another replacement.
This time another battery holder and a new set of eneloop 1900 mAh NiMh AA cells were installed.

The familiar bell like tone is now ringing out in the headphones once more a quick test of all the coils in the garden before taking it for a water hunt test.

StavR M5 scoop arrived in January, after fitting a handle another irresistible excuse for a water hunt just presented itself.

The 5Granik-2 was $US 145.00 + $ 20 airfreight delivered to my door by Australia post.
There is a fee for money transfer + the handle.

Sometimes it's mostly quantity and other times it's all quality.
