Leroy, The weather has not been good enough up here to warrant a trip to the beach, and we have had visitors and birthday parties and numerous visits to doctors and such.
I have been making some new parts for the Excaliburs new shaft and hip mount.
I am also making a new harness for water detecting, and should have it ready by the weekend.
I go to the Surgeon today for my check up, so i wont feel bad about driving from now on Grin and the weather is supposed to pick up now everyone is going back to work.
I put my socks on myself for the first time today Cheesy  Wont be long before i can get up and down to dig coins in the parks Tongue
Just when i am able to get out, the bloody petrol goes up.

                          All the best,        Bob

Hi Bob, Seems like a bit of a paralell universe between us atm, tomorrow I will see my sugeon also...lol
As for the beach, I'm just going nuts sitting here at home not doing much, so I say to my self "stuff it", Im going out, I don't care, just do it, I know how I feel, I'm a bit beyond caring atm, with my life.  Cry Sad
Glad you're making modifications to help you with your water detecting to improve your situation.
The weather has been fine here,
Sometimes I been breaking the rules and drive occassionally, feels weird when you haven't driven for a little while, my wife does all the driving atm, I've only driven twice, I think ,since my op.
I can do anything really, but got to be careful how I walk  and not to lift weights, because of my weak leg, basically.
Glad your improving and able to do a bit more for yourself, I'm capable, but told not to do anything by the Dr's...it just so frustrating.
But I do sometimes pay the price for not listening, after Sunday's jaunt's my back and my left wrist were very sore, and a bit of pain in my leg.
I'm just one of those persons who can't keep still, you know what I mean.
You wait when I get the all clear, I'll be off like a bull out of a gate. Grin Grin Grin
    Cheers

Glad to hear your off the Antibiotics, they do terrible things to the system when you are on them for any length of time. as for the boot, weeeellll, that will teach you to go kicking the dog. LOL  Are you aloud to drive though, or do you still have to have a chaffeur,

Yeah the antibiotics, everymonth including last Saturday I was getting blood tests for my liver and kidneys, generally been ok. but no need to worry any more...hmmm?
As for kicking the dog, yesm, the neighbours mutt for digging a hole under the fence and pooping in my yard...ha ha
I shouldn't be driving, I do on the odd occasion, mainly my wife drives me around (the bend) though. Actually I drive her around the bend, just ask her, it's true....lol
Next monday I've got to go into hospital again to go on the drip for the drug to strengthen my bones, that'll take about 3-4 hours.
How are you going hungry, feeling better day by day? Hope so.  Grin

Yeah mate, more like every 3 to 4 days you find you can do something easier than you could before, like this morning, i put my socks on by hand, it was an effort, but i did it, now it just has to get easier. I don;t know about my hips, but i think my bloody knees are going to snap off. LOL

No, not the knees, I've got a couple of good surgeons if you like. Cheesy
Back in 2000 one operated on me, now I'm going back for another different op, and he actually remembers me from back then. Shocked
As long as you're moving forward is the main thing.
