    It is a genuine question

he has it listed as a midas 400.

and frankly I don't see what you are trying to say through your cryptic answer.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to be rude Alimo.  :-[
I too had a look around for you but also couldn't find anything on them either.

I suppose you could contact him for more details, but it doesn't sound like a known brand.

    Hi Alimo88,

I sold these detectors and they were made here in Perth. The 400 was the first model made with a few more models after that. The very first detector which was developed early in the gold rush was the Bridge Wright  and their was plenty of knockers who said the detector was no good. But once you learned how to set the detector up it was the ancepants. I used that detector around dunnolly Tarnagulla, Inglewood, Kingower etc, and found some good gold,

    Regards Beepn.

    That's terrific, Treadsoftly.

What year are we in with the 400?

Reads like a good detector should.

Think the year was around 1989 /1990, can't remember the exactly, but the Minelab FT16000 and the Minelab Dual Ace were available. The Gold Bug was running very popular at the time. From my memory the Midas could use many coils on the market (Minelab and Fisher) with a plug adaptor, but the Gold Bug coil was the best.
