Where are people fossicking in QLD?
« on: February 11, 2018, 02:14 »
I've read over the legislation regarding fossicking in QLD. Almost all of the state is out of bounds, unless you waste time at a designated area that's been searched clean, or you get written permission from a land owner.

I'm finding a lot of videos on YouTube of people fossicking in un-disclosed locations within QLD. Are these people sneaking around State Forests hoping they don't get caught? Any know what the go is there?

Not sure what areas the videos were taken, however there are many areas/private properties within Qld where you can pay to prospect. Look around Clermont and further north around Forsayth/Georgetown.
Dells hoe, Western Creek etc.

I have posted the camp GPS coordinates on One of the properties I visit.

Other details are shared at the camp fire.
