Ploughing Horse harness blinder plates

I always knew these were from horse tack but now I've confirmed what part.  FYI to all who want to ID these plates which are commonly found.

Find lots of them as well Dutchy but have never found any of the mouth pieces though.
I know some were steel but surely there were brass ones as well 🤔

Think I found about all the bits in all 23 years of this hobby.  I had a guy in the US want to debate and swear they were Civil War breastplates or cross belt plates. Another swore they were trunk plates only.  Many want to believe all finds are military related. Bloody Americans ;)

True, but no better friend and no worse enemy than the US. Glad they are on our side.

This was one I found when I first started detecting.
Have never seen another one like this since, all the others I've found are just plain.

Ones with any writing on them are rare I've seen.  I found 2 in most likely over a hundred or so I've found.
