TDI-Pro gets 2-4-1 gram in a slab of Calcrete.
However the exciting part is the depth from which it came. :D

15" give or take 1/2".
From surface to slab 10" after raking the area of sticks and rocks,  slab is 5"+ thick.
Pickers was located in bottom of slab app. 2" apart, it was taken home and busted open.
Bits on scale have been in acid for a few days.

The Calcrete doesn't slow up a Detector like mineralised ironstone does.
That is still good depth for a non minelab unit.
Most of the other brands will only find gold down a few inches unless it has some size.Usually the most we would see something
(from none Mlb) about the size of a .22 being around 3inches. ( Not air test)               Well done.

Ivanll, do you find the tdi runs quieter with the DD coil our is there another, not so apparent, reason behind that coil type?

Yes, TDI-Pro runs quieter with a DD coil, narrow but strong and long detection field reduces ground noises, especially with larger coils.

Hello Ivanll,

Can you advise what would be the deepest seeking coil for the TDI if looking for coin/ring sized targets on low mineral beaches?

I am guessing a mono of around 14" size??

If possible, can you provide a rough control setup for this purpose.
Not sure if this has been posted before.

Thanks,
Tony.

14" to 16" in Mono go deep on beach..... drawback hard to seperate multiple targets at different levels..... especially if targets is of same classification.

My... beach control setup for both depth and classification.
Gain 10 to 4......GB F=OF/On  C=8 -/+ (regulated to 50c coin)......PD 10 to 15µ/sec......High, All or Low TC, as required.

Not posted before!

Whites Importer/Dealer might have different settings (contact them)....I'm not associated with them.

I don't own a Whites but read this comparison on another forum between the Pro and the SL it's interesting what the guy (mariposa) has to say about coils and about the machines in general.

This guy (mariposa) do apparently not have a TDI-SL  nor a TDI-Pro.
There are many like him, talking about something of which they know nothing and then proclaim they have done a lot of research. ???

Better read what Reg Sniff have to say it make for more factual reading.

TDI-SL is said not to work well on OZ ground, it will be interesting to see if you can prove them wrong.

Perhaps start a new thread on your findings with the TDI-SL, so we can follow it's progress.

Changing appearances of Whites PulseScan TDI over the years.
Pictures obtained from various forum locations, they are property of the individual posters, compiled here only to show the changes from TDI to TDI-Pro.

TDI beach and coin hunters will know what this refer to.

http://z7.invisionfree.com/whitesgoldmaster/index.php?showtopic=735

Part of this setup is used when beach hunting with a TDI-Pro.......... another setup is used when $$ coin hunting after a beach event/party.

I doubt that be the only differences!.............and just where can one purchase one of each already made complete with coils for the price of a TDI?

Perhaps it's time to take the TDI-Pro for another beach spin........... with a new coil!

A moment of fiddling, produced a drop in high capacity 4800mAh Li-Ion battery pack for the SPP, enough for a full days detecting.
Can be charged in it's own cradle via the amp/volt meter (to keep an eye on things) by same charger used for TDI-Pro....both from 240v and 12 volt.
