found in victoria. ctx 3030 11 inch (in "rustville" a really trashy spot)
id say it was in a fire as the Gilt is all but gone from one side.

Medal, Cole's Book Arcade, Federation of the World, Religion, circa 1885. This gilt medal is one of a series of medals offering maxims and proverbs issued by E.W. Cole at his Book Arcade. He called the medals 'little missionaries for the spread of educative knowledge' (Dean, 1988, p.36).

this worn token appears to be around pattern 54, 55 or 57 see chart ==>  https://collections.museumvictoria.com.au/items/2042695

this is what a new one looks like.

https://collections.museumvictoria.com.au/items/76345

its amazing what you learn when you rip it up.

I've found two of those Tokens in the past Mark (but not in as good condition as your examples).  All the ones I've seen have been holed at the top, and mine, like yours still have the loop attached.  Tend to think they were made and distributed that way.  Here's some brief info I found on the web yonks ago:

Kaiser-I-Hind Veiled Head Victorian token issued by the Assam & Darjeeling Pure Indian Packet Tea Company with their slogan claiming their "Teas are the Strongest and Best". This token alludes to the title 'Kaiser-e-Hind' (or Kaiser-I-Hind) which was the title invented for Queen Victoria and was used in the Imperial Durbar of 1877. It means 'Emperor of India'. Some eyebrows were raised in London at this apparent borrowing of a German title for the British Monarch. When this matter was raised in the Parliament, it was explained that the title was not of German origin but had roots in old Greek/Persian/Arabic tradition.
