I did get some tests done in dry sand inside a p.v.c tube filled with sand and level with the surface . The $2 coin was 395 and the $1 was 440 but this was a faint signal only. If you are putting the coin below the surface and ruffly know where it is you tend to keep sweeping over the target  and charging it with eddy currents.

I have been using the Blisstool for a week and i am very impressed. Been a single frequency detector with its mass of knobs and toggle switches it is a sinch to operate.

I did place a very fine chain inside a p.v.c. tube lying straight out not bunched up and burried at 150 with a stoppable target.
The two photos below is how i detected the gold chain. The $2 coin also burried in a p.v.c .tube and with the 11 inch coil 330  with the 15 inch coil 380. The Blisstool gives the same strength of signal if it is shallow or deep.

It is Not a general all round detector. Not one that you would use hunting coins in parks as you would have to dig all targets.

It is a great tool to use on open large areas or beaches. You can knock out most  pull tabs and be able to get 50 cents plus all targets above that by turning the discrimination level , discrimination depth and silencer all the way clockwise to 10.

Thanks   BEEPN
Very interesting,  seems complicated,  but it is not the "DESERT GOLD" that I was referring to               Pyrites  Pete

Hi Pyrites Pete,

The first part of my statement  refers to the " DESERT GOLD" the $2 coin was 395mm. and the $1 coin was 440mm.

This test was carried out by a very qualified dealer.

Regards Beepn.
