DetectorPro......
« on: August 12, 2013, 13:43 »
We do not see much mentioning of this brand even tho' it has been around for many years.

I use the HH-UniProbe PI with an 11"coil at times, it actually work quite well.........although site specific.
Also as headphones with probe on other detectors, it's hard to beat.

I see this post and wonder  ??? .......how's the Pirate Pro on the beach.....have a young person in mind for one of these......... or a HH-Wader with an 8" coil.

In 2011 when i got into detecting beaches/water i bought myself this guy: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Detector-Pro-Headhunter-Pirate-Pro-for-Land-and-Water-Treasure-Hunting-/121140935179?pt=US_Metal_Detectors&hash=item1c348ffa0b&_uhb=1 did the job.

Only seen a Pirate and some HH-Pi video without sound.........had expected to find more from a brand with so many models which have been in production for more than 10 years.

Never mind..... have one on order, so will stick a contour cam on the headphones and test it whenever delivery take place.

HH-Wader was delivered...............it'll be interesting to give it a run on the beach and see why so little info is available on this unit over here.

On/Off-Volume.......Disc..........Sensitivity.  ::)
For the fun of it I'll just insert the batteries, switch it on and give it a try.......without reading the manual first. :P

Improvising or rubber band artistry.  ::)

The purpose was to find out if sound would transfer to camera without to much wind noise............ before getting a proper mounting bracket.

Wader is working just fine by itself and in combination with Contour camera.

Head Hunter PI's are said to go deep on the beach.........have been looking for one with interchangeable coils, but they seem hard to find.

What coil are you using on yours Shane. ??

Hi ivan11 i have the model that is a few years old now with the 10 inch fixed coil i bought it and the had it sent from the states second hand but it had never been used got it for a song 275 dollars plus post . I ran into an old guy down at Burleigh about 12 months ago that had bought the newer model with interchangable coils but he said it set him back over a  thousand dollars with postage from the states i have dug 2 dollar coins at well over 12 inches they do go deep :o :o thanks Shane

Wader is doing just fine on a wet beach........it's simple to operate/use.

I like easy and simple. :)

It is worth to note, any detector that can be set up for wet salt sand beach detecting could have located these items.
I was just there at the right time. :D

Shane,

One is the HH Uniprobe PI with an 11" exchangeable coil.

The other is a HH Wader also with exchangeable coils.

I used to think that the HH Wader was an Fisher Aquanaut in different clothing.
Runs at 2.4khz with sens and Disc control that goes from All Met to whatever max is.
I have heard that the HPs were a problem in some way but cannot recall what it was.

Testing the HH-Wader on a beach stretch of black sand, after a Sens. Pot. Mod.

Oldest identifiable coin on this outing, a 1919 Penny.

A fun/testing project with a Pistol Probe, changed the probe for a full size coil .... so far it has shown to work just fine.
