I was looking for another find of sovereigns near Bendigo that went to court to work out ownership but found this http://www.abc.net.au/news/2011-05-27/buried-treasure-in-albany-may-be-lost-forever/2734524

Still looking for the said story but will add more of interest as I go:

Not so long ago a friend of mine, who lives in Adelaide was hitching up his trailer when he noticed a Edward vii sovereign laying in the bed of his trailer. The only explanation he could come up with that maybe some youths had burgled a house some where in the area and didn't know what they had, so they threw it away. Another explanation he later thought of was a few days earlier he had picked up a pallet of stuff with a forklift and put it in the bed of his trailer and maybe the sov. was stuck to the bottom of the pallet.
Whatever it will be forever a mystery to him.

Curious, you hear a lot about Sovereigns being found, but are there many stories of the Holy Dollar and fifteen pence being found?

During Summer on the beach one can find many gold coins and some are still edible!

I cleaned this post up as it had a lot of comments on it about other things. I wondered what it was about when i seen the header turn up from 2013.
