I like the sounds and price of it but is 4hrs battery life normal for a pulse induction machine?

If it's shiny or moves I'll notice it even if it's a well camouflaged critter.

Its weird, you would think with such a piddly little machine the batteries would last longer...  also keep in mind that under $1000 US = $1500 Aus (because of all the douche taxes).

Just saw that lastnight, $1195 price tag, not bad... I'd be tempted to buy one, but since its just a re-packaged TDI SL I'll pass.

Price is good.  From the link, does it come with the 2 coils included? If so its probably a really good price.

Hello everyone,
I use an sd2000 and I'm wondering if the sap would be a better machine. Cheers

Ivanll would be the best person to answer this question,

I owned the TDI SL for a while, and found it to be a far better performer than my SD2000...  I've read a few forum posts that say the SSP is a re-badged  TDI SL.. (more than likely true)

Its not so strange, at its US price I'm sure it sold out within days, its probably on backorder..

Or they're pushing the TDI-SL..

Seeing what's in the box for $1,195 make you wonder how they can still be available over here.

A number of tests on both coin size objects and sub gram gold with coils of various type and size made specifically for TDI/SPP PI units, have been conducted using both detectors..........tests have been :)  pleasing and encouraging.
