The Go-Find is meant to work ok on the wet sand gathering from what they say in the Minelab speel.  Like you, I haven't bothered to try it yet down the beach, as Port Mac isn't exactly the coin capital of Oz.  With summer approaching, might be worth heading up Robe way, should plenty of drops there over the next few months.

We used two 20's that Minelab gave us to use over the Caravan And Camping show. Hundreds of kids mishandled them and they didn't fault.

Yes Rwork,  I was mishandling my 60 when I first got it and it didn't miss a beat. Underrated machines for sure.

Sand in the armrest slowed up the slide but normally you wouldn't need to be adjusting it like we were. Did you try the Bluetooth phone thing?

I had a quick look at the Bluetooth app,  but found it a bit gimmicky. With any sand in the armrest, I yank it completely apart after a hunt and hose it off. Sand under the detector body, I use a small dry paintbrush.

I have been using the Go-Find 60 for over 6 months now (about 15 times used) and am still happy with it. Consistent signal response to common coins and the app identifies AU currency well when it is a coin. Just needs a bit of TLC whenever I use it in sandy or muddy environment. Easy to pull apart and clean. The way it folds up so compact is the real winner for me as the wife doesn't complain now when I take the Go-Find as it isn't in the way when we go camping hence more detecting opportunities. I have even started to take it in the truck with me when I go out of town for remote installations.
Finds so far:
$88.57
1929 half penny
Lots of bits and bobs including sinkers, toy cars, .303 casings and a plastic SLR practice round (I think).
