A Beach outing with a Red Racer and Mars MD Discovery coil attached pays off.

With this coil on it's in deep search mode, without the need to slow the swing speed down.

Looks like a nice ring.   Does Makro make a large coil like the Mars pictured?

Attached a new GR19 coil to a Gold Racer and went out for some fine gold hunting in a sandy activity area.
Will have to go back and look for whatever needed this backing.

Had my eyes on a pair of Makro wireless head phones for the GoldRacer/Racer2, then logic stepped in and convinced me of their very limited uses compared to cost ....... got to listen to logic!
Indications from users on other forums is that it is limited to little more than two (2) audio volume settings Low or Loud.
http://www.metaldetectingforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=259&t=85902&start=20
I see Nokta responce: "We got no negative feedback on the volume from any of the testers so we released them as they are. We believe it is more of a subjective point rather than an issue."
http://www.findmall.com/read.php?102,2303734,page=2

As have been asked before who choose their testers ???

In any case I went with one of these Teknetix they work on all my headphones/ear buds, better still on all my present detectors including Nokta and Makro..... and I'm the tester/evaluator.

A good reason why I prefer Not to buy from an Oz eBay seller with "0" backup, repair service and credibility!

Congratulations, what is a "coin flip line"? I have not seen that phrase before.

Racer 2 handgrip change ..... an ergonomic fit is better and more comfortable for prolonged detecting.

Thats a bit rude dont you think Ivan.?...The Oz dealer to whom you refer in your link...has 100% feedback...cant be all that bad now can they.?
And since its me who does the warranty and repairs to said brands in that shop right here in Australia...iv never had any complaints from those who have had an issue....except you.?
And in recent times, iv actually hand delivered items both new and repaired, back/to the owners on my travels interstate. I think the service is pretty good to be honest.

But its funny to watch and receive feedback from others over your gripes...lol

Rude is when you go in on someone's thread with the purpose of no more than self promotion ..... there is a dealer section for such purpose.
You say you do warranty and repairs right here in Australia, you sent me a crooked coil "issue" then tell me to fix it myself, issue exacerbated! ...... and you laugh and think it funny, ..... well I did fix the coil, no thanks to you.
You totally lost credibility and any future business from me! So you just keep laughing, I promise to share my purchase experience from you with friends and other prospectors.
As has already happened and will be so in the future thanks to your attitude I shall purchase only from  Nokta/Makro Authorized Dealers, be it like the one on eBay with better service cheaper prices and free postage or otherwise, but definitely not from you.
You can file this in your feedback folder and don't forget ..... keep laughing. ;D

Now if you don't mind I'll do what this thread was started for and go find something, maybe even share a picture of a find or two.

Deep targets require a capable coil, lucky the soil where this junk came from was sandy.
