Fuel gauge plate help

Hi I found this fuel gauge plate ww2 close to an air field that had mosquito's,  wiriways ,p 38s lightings and Beau fighters  can't match it any help would be good.

Nice find!!  Might not be off a tail dragger, they had two marks depending on if you were on the ground or in the air.

Thanks rwork i had a look through but no go ,if its  not off a plane ,may be a truck or tank because thats a lot of fuel 188 gallons equates to 711 ltrs thats a lot of fuel anyway ill keep looking .

Truck/tank makes sense. I tried searching by fuel capacity and most planes were around 250 gal.

Pretty similar to the one on the http://spitfirespares.co.uk/Instruments%20fuel%20gauges%208.html page for a Halifax 789 FG.
