Not sure if I am doing this correctly, not very computer savvy, but here goes.
Hi Fellow Metal Detectorists, I am 67 yrs old and have been a member for 12 months now.  I am from Perth WA.  I have a CTX3030 with a 17" coil.  Have had no experience with metal detectors before this so go on numbers on the screen as audio noises sound the same, hearing not the best.  Have just been using beach mode (auto) and have picked up a lot of coins and a few rings and bracelets.  I would like to know if there are any experienced CTX3030 uses in the Perth area who could show me how to utilise my machine to its full potential.  Cheers Tony (Stehnie)

Welcome Mate, you got that post up so well done.

Have a look at the member meet ups thread, I'll let you find it on the main forum page. LOL
Sure to be plenty of CTX users over your way.

Happy Hunting mate.

Welcome, no CTX for me but someone will have one somewhere.
Keep an eye out for West Australian meet up messages.
Once or twice a year some of us meet somewhere and natter for a bit then go off and find who knows what.

Welcome aboard buddy. I'm from Canberra and would help you if your around. You must be a real man to be able to lift the machine at 67. Seems some complain of how heavy it is!? There are some good resources here under CTX that will also help you. Try running it on silver pattern. I Put it into that pattern 3 years ago and never changed it and I've been able to find a few good things in that time. Good luck.
