hi from adelaide
« on: January 11, 2018, 23:37 »
hi I am from Adelaide and have been detecting for just over a year.
I am retired and whilst an avid angler and gardener needed something extra.
Well I am now fully addicted ,started off with a go find 40 which was surprisingly good.
It financed my xterra 705 which I am very happy with.
mainly do beaches and parks and have the extra 18.75 coil but haven't tried for gold yet.
Cheers rod.

Hi Rod.  You've come to the right place to feed your addiction.  Lots of good information and good people haunt these halls.  If you have a question, just ask.  Just don't expect anyone to give away their secret spots.  They're too hard to get, in the first place.  If you want to find a good spot, just learn the three R's.  Research, research, research.  Happy hunting.

Welcome to the forum Rod. There is a group called the Adelaide Treasure hunters. I see their latest newsletter arrived today. I can forward it if you don’t have their contacts and you have an email listed on your profile.

....retired...angler....gardener....detectorist............I reckon, you could probably throw in ......traveler,....researcher, and amateur historian, (another three "pass-times" that tend to come with fishing/gardening and retirement) ....I love my fishing....persevere with my garden...am totally absorbed with retirement,...but...I can't go anywhere without my detector.... .... welcome to the forum adelaide detector...
