Happy Australia Day Whats your plans?
« on: January 26, 2018, 08:44 »
Hi Everyone, Happy Australia day to you all.

So what's happenin? In Yeppoon we have the Australia day beach party, so i'll be off down there for a while for a feed and to listen to some local music with the family.
I'll also be secretly planning where I will be detecting tonight and tomorrow morning. LOL

They are just about to rip the ground up down there so I'll be able to chase those deep signals i normally walk past so I don't ruin the grass.

What are you up to today?

Got my car back from mechanics yesterday - today I start putting in the stuff I need for outback touring, towing and gold prospecting.

Oh, having lamb chops and steak for tea along with a coldie or three.

HI Anthony

We are getting a bigger van that still does pretty serious off-road.  I wasn't sure that the manual 80 was a good choice for dragging the new van over sand dunes so sold it and got a 2nd hand 200 series.  Powerful.  Wow.  I think I got my first speeding ticket in decades in the last week or so.

I usually try to dig a predecimal of some type on Australia day and two pennies and a sixpence saved the day for me.

A big part of detecting is being in the right place - in your head and at the site.

I actually planned on getting out over the long weekend in and around the NSW Goldfields, but my wife made other plans. As they say happy wife happy life. I missed out this weekend, but I had a win as well, as now I have a tick in the good books with the misses.
