Another Wedderburn nugget.
« on: March 16, 2018, 20:33 »
Forum member Barney found this 9.2 gram nugget last weekend at Wedderburn around the same day as Notalot found his.
There is nothing unusual about finding gold but this one was hidden. I will let Barney tell the story when he finds this post.

I had to edit the picture as it was too large and modified the wrong one. A smaller nugget was shown. This one is Barneys.

Well done Barney, good stuff.
So the secret is to wait for nearly everyone to go home before finding gold it seems.

Well after all the little bits over the last 12 months I finally walked over a signal that produced a good size nugget.
It was the usual wide groning signal that suggests that we are going to dig a rather deep target and that is no fun in the heat of the day but when the target turns out to be in stone the heat is forgotten .
Got most of the larger small bits - if I can say that - mostly in stone and all with the 7.
All the very small bits were found with the 23 in other areas.
Just my luck with my camera battery clagging so all shots were taken with the phone and all have to be down sized to go on the forum and the down sizing seems to turn them a bit wonky.
Seems like all enjoyed themselves at hard hill and I enjoy the stories that have come in.
Cheers -- Barney.
PS - Lex reckons the nugget looks like Nessie the lock ness monster.

For those who are not used to thinking in grams. Although I just noticed Barney has a 3d with his find now.
