Here is another contraption i found hidden away.
« on: April 18, 2018, 20:26 »
I designed this for large coils for the beach and the goldfields. It took the weight and as you moved the coil it would swing with no trouble and you could do it all day and still feel fresh.

...looks like a pulley system on the "shower arm" .....I'm guessing that is operated to enable you to bend down for a find....without your (shower) head being stuck in the sand....Man I love your ingenuity beepn 8)

Very inventive, anything to make it easier is a plus for me.On U-Tube there is a guy called General Herculies( The general ) who uses a similar set up.He has some rather hilarious vids on tube with him detecting on the West Australian goldfields

Where there's a will there's a way (but not for the Inglewood bush though).

It works, & anything that eases back pain is great.

Bet it was a lot cheaper than the commercial crap, too. Tried them on heavy coils & they didn't do the job.

I've got three different models in a drawer, & that's where they stay.

I like it Beepin....well done, mate.....😎

If I can't handle it, I'll go & have a few beers, or a red wine....or both.... & go from there!

Ray, I remember the day this picture was taken. That's my Explorer your trying it with or atleast holding.
I've always like this idea.
Especially useful for the heavier detectors and as you say for the larger coils.
Not so much for a place for seagulls to roost though...:).

Hi Dave.

I  had that covered on the final model with 2 bazookas on the top to knock off the seagulls.
