While an 8" coil is deadly on smaller stuff I very rarely use it. And it might be great in trashy ground but in my experience theres little gold in trashy ground.

The ground coverage just isn't there. It might only be 2" smaller than a 10" but the 8" is tiny in comparison.

And when the 8" coil eventually dies I'll be replacing it with the 10".

I got my Nox 800 for 1100.00 because I bought the X-terra 705 and I think we got it for 600.00. Not sure I will ever use the wifi head phones that come with nox as I hate headphones full stop. I will get some water proof ones as I got the Nox to go ring shooting in the 1 meter range where people hang out and bob up and down and there chubby fingers shrivel and leave the rings for us X-dredgers who now how water and gold work... :-)
