Need a Beep'n'dig
« on: June 05, 2018, 21:18 »
When I was looking for a kids detector a member on another site kindly bought an Ebay $140-00 for my grandson, but he doesn't at this stage have the level of concentration needed, so I gave it to a mate for him to play around with. It's sparked his interest in detecting, just parks and beaches but he just can't get the beeps I get from the Deus.
So I'm looking for a nice easy to use detector for him for somewhere in the $300-00 range to get his juices flowing a bit more.
Neither he nor I are brand specific. Any ideas greatly appreciated
cheers Keith

Bit of a jump Keith but money spent on the Equinox 600 would give years of enjoyment for an addictive hobby. Cheap gear never satisfies for too long.cheers.Dave

Keith,

The Go-Finds are pretty good starting machine and you could probably get one during the EOFY sales for very little. With the finds graduate to the next detector. You will find most start off with this level detector. My first Coin& Relic machine was a Minelab Musketeer and gold machine was a Fisher Gold Bug 2. Both we great machines that allowed me to find enough stuff to upgrade.

Keith,

Teknetics mate, Eurotek or Digitek.

Both in the $300 range and very simple yet pretty powerful. Git a mate with one and he kills it with his little eurotek.

1x 9V battery to run it couldn't be any easier and the build quality is way better than the go find. This ones designed for adults. LOL

Cheers Big fella, That or buy a second stem for the deus and give him the LITE while you use the remote?

The little Ace 250 work well and have plenty of settings. Great for our goldies on parks.

X2 for the Teknetics.  Very underrated brand in this country, but exceptional value for money.
