bountry hunter pinpointer
« on: November 12, 2011, 13:07 »
VERY sick of my dad and brother using my propointer, thinking about getting two bounty hunter pinpointers for Xmas presents because they are cheaper.  Has anybody used them?  Are they reliable?  I understand they are not as good as the garrett, but at about half the price they might be the ticket.

Willy46: if you stock them do you have a price for two delivered to WA?

Cheers and thanks,

Keef

Hey Keef.
They aren't as good as Garretts. But they will do the trick. I sell them for $95 + $15 registered post.

They Are absolute Rubbish in my opinion
If I was given one for my present I would use it to try and poke the eye out of the giver.
you could also keep it where the monkey keeps his nuts
Rubbish Rubbish Rubbish

In My Opinion Only

Thanks alimo88, I will consider your storage solution!!  I was looking for a cheap alternative to keep my family away from my propointer.  I am glad I asked the question because it would seem they are not as good a value as they seem.  I notice from the link you posted that the reviews go back 4 years and it would seem BH havent done anything to improve the product, speaks volumes I think!

I liked the comment where the guy wanted negative stars. Classic
I had one and gave it away
the sensor is "hall effect" type
and not coil type

Good on you Alimo for setting this guy straight - but then again you don't sell pinpointers do you?
Hey keef hope I see you out there good luck with that AT Pro. BTW I wouldn't give $2 bucks to buy the pointer, it would struggle to pick it up anyhow.

If you want a decent pin pointer get a Garrett. Kerf good luck mate. I haven't personally used one of BH pin pointers as I use a Garrett.

Hi Tommy, Hope the baby is letting you get some sleep by now!!   Getting the hang of the AT, having much more luck now, certainly more than when we went out!!!! ;D  I am quitting offshore work so will be in Perth at least most of the time for awhile so we will have to do it again.

Cheers,

Keef

ok i think this guy died or his mum found him, but his promise to make more videos never happened. i found this pinpointer probe for $15 if i include it with my soon to be placed at pro order, yes i will soon own 4 detectors.
but after watching this video i got put off buying this probe, my whites probe can on a coin give me up to 3 inches at a push in right conditions, my centech about 1 to 2 inches but watch this video he almost has to touch coin to get a response.  but as i seem to break probes every few months maybe $15 is ok to put it in pack as a back up
