Looking for someone to go out with me to beach hunt a beach that got heavily affected by that ex cyclone system that did damage and flooding all along the eastern Aust coast, it's about 50 or more km north of Townsville.

The beach is still missing heaps of sand, the beach paths have been closed due to the damage to the paths and sandladders.

I already have a regularish detecting partner but he isn't keen on beach detecting very often, I'll still see if he is free but welcome others to come along.
I'm currently restricted to beach and bush spots this fortnight as my soil knife snapped while detecting a park yesterday.

The hunt is planned for this weekend, will put up more details as I get it more organised, will likely start early in the morning at about 6-7am to avoid the heat.
  • Detector(s) owned/used: Began with a Goldsnoop, Bounty Hunter Sharp Shooter II, Garrett A2B Groundhog. Tried a Excal, now using XS2-pro Sovereign and a XT1700
  • Oldest find: A english military button from about 1885
If it's shiny or moves I'll notice it even if it's a well camouflaged critter.

It's a bit of a drive for me but i wouldn't mind doing a hunt together sometime, anyway the gold up their should be blinding you now since most of the dirt is in the river according to the guy who just slashed my block at Burnett Heads, we would probably only need to use the Pro Pointers to find it, or waddle along in GumBoots and trip over the Nuggets.  ;D ;D ;D

Hi. Am a new "Detector" and would love to go out with someone or other ( new or advanced) to learn the ropes. I have been out 3 or 4 times and want to stay out all day. Went to the beach the other day and only gave up when it was too dark to see.
Some local outings in the west of Brisbane would be great. ( I live over Greenbank way)

Looking for a detecting partner for the occasional hunt. Married with kids, so my time opportunities are quite limited.  :(
So i guess I would be looking for an occasional morning or afternoon hunt at the weekend. (yes i dream of a whole day to myself)

I live in Ipswich, and I'm fairly new to detecting, I'm armed with a Vaquero, and the hope that my junk finds will diminish.  ::)

If anyone comes detecting this way, and wants me to be added to their list of contacts, please "PM" me, and we can go from there.  :)
