I will set up a little caravan on the side of the hill opposite the toilet block. I will put up a blue Eureka flag on top of it and a light at night to attract members and moths. Detrackozi usually parks not far from me. I urge members who are camping to get on site Friday as soon as they can. Everyone has their own preferred spot which might be in the sun for panels or somewhere they don't get blocked in. Plenty of parking but the sites on the North end get dust from the track in.

Wedderburn has its own weather, bucketing rain at Bendigo might only mean distant thunder at the hunt. The temp listed might be correct but rainfall predictions are unreliable. We have been fairly lucky with the actual hunt but the Saturday night presentations are sometimes wet. My little van has a roll out shade which might shelter a couple of swags if needed.

Only 1 fuel station in town. Campsite is west about 1 block. Sometimes the servo is closed on the Monday, make sure you fuel up if needed.

Book in starts Sat morning ,early. The line starts around 7am. I gues you could pay anytime but the comp is going at 7.45 Usually you can pay on the Friday if you can find the info centre. I don't think they are setup for online pre payments.

Hi. Looking at going to Wedderburn for the token hunt. Is the on-site camping first in best dressed or do you have to book etc. I can get there Friday arvo is that early enough, What's the go with the hunt is it like Tarnagulla or is it different are the tokens deep or hidden just under the surface? looking forward to the weekend hope to meet some of you.

Rodeo, the hunt is organized by Robin and helpers. Same person who organized the Tarna hunt. Tokens are usually shallow and probably a steel alloy.Expect far more metal rubbish. Friday arvo is early enough and camp where you can but if setting up near someone, don't move chairs to get to a site.
Often esky's or chairs are left to save a spot for someone that is known and expected. Make sure you don't block any tracks on the hill.
Toilets will be unlocked but may have a bolt on top of the door to stop wind blowing leaves inside.
If you see a bloke walking around taking pictures it will probably be me. I might make a video of the camps late Sat.
100 tokens first thing in the morning, not many left by 11.00 but nobody really knows how many until they post up the token score sheet.
I thought Minelab may have used the hunt to give away one of the new mid range gold units but the prize is expected to be a 3030.
A Bpc ( Bendigo prospecting club) husband and wife team, Mark and Ronda ( Gold prospecting Australia)will be looking after the Junior hunt and supplying the first prize of a new detector.(xterra ? )

Breakfast both mornings for those who have paid and are wearing the medical wrist band, is provided by Rotary.
Coiltek provide a lot of prizes and will have items for sale at the check in area. If anyone wants a cord or some charging gear they can bring it to the hunt site.
