Garrett Gold Hunter A2B
« on: March 03, 2014, 22:21 »
G'day Folks. Hoping someone can help me out. Over the weekend my son broke a Gold hunter A2B that belongs to his friends mum. I feel obliged to either replace it or get it repaired. The plastic cover over the needle has come off and she states it doesn't pick up her gold jewellery like it did before it was broken. Hoping someone out there may have one for sale or know if they can be repaired and where.

This is the actual Detector
I have one hanging up in my workshop, but I think mine must be an earlier model than the one you have, but I will sell it for $200 + postage.

You did say the cover just come off . Just reattach (reglue it) and give it back . Was it was dropped at holding height ( in this case its most likely stuffed ) ,or was the plastic needle cover just knocked off ? Gaz

If you still have the original meter cover and it is not brocken then simply press it back into place . If it does not click into position then you will have to glue it.

Be sure to engage the Zero Adjuster Pin into the needle loop end before pressing the cover into place, otherwise you could damage the meter movement.
