I heard that the founder of Tesoro metal detectors Jack Gifford passed away a few days ago.
The passing of a legend in metal detecting history.

Jack received 4 pages of tributes on one USA metal detecting forum.
I guess the history of Tesoro is not so well known here, although I know from past exp with David Bishop and Paul Nee that there are plenty of Tesoro's in Australia
