i find it's funny that been detecting for a number years and using a lot of different brand detectors, that i have come back to the most basic of them all.the compadre by tesoro.beep and dig,one knob.turn it on and away you go.not these other fiddle machines with their turn this ,fiddle that, maybe you will find something.i'm sure there are people out there that don't like the simple life and have to fiddle with every thing they get their hands on.not me,i like the simple life.emubob

You've got the right idea, EB.

We are seem to be totally swamped these days with electronics, so much so  that we are conditioned to "just gotta have the latest gizmo".

I started detecting around 40 years ago with a Whites machine.

I've bought & sold over 20 detectors over the past 4 years, (dickhead country), & have gone back to one of my original machines.

The Whites DFX........admittedly  it has TDI, which I like, but I know it better than any other detector. 13 year old technology, but can still stay with the so-called "biggies", which totally confused me in their operation.

It'll do me!   :)

If I can't handle it, I'll go & have a few beers, or a red wine....or both.... & go from there!
