Hi all.
Just wondering if anybody has used  the Ace 400 yet. I'm curious about its tones.
 Thanks.
 Mick Evans.

I haven't seen one but it sounds like a 250 with a number display. A seller on Ebay from America sometimes sends them out here with damaged boxs, second hand New.

A young detectorist in my area has one on the way. Stuck in a shipping container somewhere. We will be doing some testing and comparisons when it arrives.

Thanks for the replies. It sounds like nobody has used it yet.
I am very curious about the tones as I really liked the 250, but that wretched bell tone masked the edges of it tone so that you couldn't tell what was under the coil . Not a fan of the DD coil, but the elliptical concentric coil on these detectors were my all time favourite! I have listened to a video on the 400, but I'm not sure about how the new tone works.

Thanks for the you tube links. The audio sounds different, but I think I'd have to play around with one to see if the tones are workable.
Hi Lazyaussie. No I don't have the Ace anymore. I loved ever part of it except it bell tone, which sadly in the end, became a deal breaker for me. I'm hoping that the new tone might be usable and if it is, then I'd be glad to own one again. It would become my primary detector it it is.
