Give Wendy a Call at Gold Hunter Detectors, she doesn't fix 'em but may know who to call mate.
Failing that, Lost treasures in Brisbane sell them and may be able to point you in the right direction.

Hopefully that helps.

..I sent my second hand Cortes back to USA for repairs...lifetime warranty...only cost me  postage over (not sure about return postage... it was quite a few years ago)..It was great service, but not sure how things are over there now, with the change over in management. An email to the service department would clarify....other than that,...if you are looking for any Tesoro "support" in Australia, I wish you luck!..I too think a query to Angermanagement might be the way to go..

after further investigation it appears that the coil is the culprit.exchanged the eight inch original with an seven inch concentric coil off my old silver sabre and the silver umax worked just fine and no there isn't any grit between the coil and the skid plate.this was the first thing i checked.emubob

Hi all, spoke to Wendy at the address below, and she confirms that they have taken over dealership. Reading the forum I gather this has been a on again off again affair, and as I am looking for a unit I didn't want to jump in before I knew for sure. Details sent to me are below to save you searching
