New Coil
« on: September 05, 2016, 16:52 »
I have a question for ace 250 users.
I have an ace 250 which i use for chasing coins etc. The question i have is has anyone run the upgraded  8.5" x 11" PROformance DD Searchcoil ? If so is it worth the money? After a bit of reading it is said that it will find deeper targets ... Any info would be great.

A bigger coil has the Potential to go deeper but can mask targets at different depths a bit more than a smaller coil.

In clean area's (not much modern trash) bigger coils are awesome and that's where they come into their own in My Opinion. I mostly use a 9 inch coil but go to the 11 or even 13 inch when conditions allow.

Keep in mind though that the bigger coils also make swinging in bushy area's a pain in the ..... as you can't jam them between the tufts of grass and sticks etc etc.

Hope that helps a bit mate.

I only use the standard coil as it will find coins deeper than you should be digging in a park. The larger coil will give more coverage though. I intend selling one of the 250's and changing to a 400 soon, i think it only comes with a larger coil.
