New detector
« on: December 06, 2016, 01:15 »
Managed to get onto a secondhand 2300 last week which arrived in the mail today.
Bought new June 2016, quite a bit scratched on the skid plate and scuffed on top of the coil.
New back pack, control box cover and skid plate, 2 sets of rechargeable batteries, new lead for standard head phones.
3K and I'm wrapped, can't wait to get out but night shift until Wednesday morning.
Bugger.  :(
Cheers
Norm

Looks like your about to start a lead collection to go with your gold collection. Make sure you have a plastic dog type scoop, they seem popular over here with 2300 users.

Sweet as Norm! Great Buy!
PM your bosses phone number and I'll call in sick for ya for a few days.
"This is Doctor Clegy here, Sorry Norm is unfit for Normal Duties until further notice, please keep depositing the pay cheque into the usual account for medical expenses"

It's that easy. :)
There are some pretty heavy duty skid plates and protectors for that knuckle at the join to the coil as well. I saw them at Laanecoorie and the SDC folk went nuts for them. Apparently its par for the course to knock those around a bit.

Ray may Know more, or I should say WILL Know more.

Happy Hunting mate Looking forward to some fresh nugget pics soon.

Well got out Thursday and was surprised to find these 6 littlies for 2.1 grams in about 5 hours.  ;D
And only 2 shotty pellets Ray.
Thanks Clegy but my roster means I usually only work 5 months of the year as it is and with long service coming up I can't complain.
Cheers

Maybe there were no animals to shoot at Norman. We had two new 2300 users turn up at the Bpc outing on the weekend, don't know how they went.

I see some of our members making the 2300 skid plates. I didn't take much notice but it looks like the have cut a bottom section a bit larger and then cut some slots on the edge and bent it up. Probable held on with tape.

Think I got them all already with the elite and a mate has already been over the patch with a 2300.
Picked up a pigeon leg ring at the same spot!
Got a spare skid plate in the deal, hopefully won't need it for awhile.
Cheers
